Blackjack Freedom is a simplified card counting and betting system that enables anyone, not just those who scored an 800 on their math SAT’s, to master card counting forever, gain a worthwhile edge over the casinos, and if they so choose, turn that skill into a very lucrative vocation with more freedom and benefits than almost any job in the world. It is derived from the Hi-Lo Count, which is the most popular card counting system in use today. This is due to the fact that Hi-Lo offers the greatest combination of power and ease of use to the player. But that is not to say that it is easy.
After years of being unable to fully master all of the required mental calculations and count-dependent strategy and bet variations required by Hi-Lo and other systems, I sat down with the intent of somehow simplifying existing methods of counting, devoting specific attention to the True Count, or count per deck. What I developed is not effortless; the technique still requires memorization of what to do and how much to bet given a certain count and deck penetration. What it does most effectively is eliminate the difficult mental calculations required to arrive at the True Count, which will enable you to more easily and accurately vary your strategy and bet amounts.
No knowledge of higher math is required. If you can count forward or backward one number at a time and have an average memory then you can master card counting once and for all, realize your dream of becoming a professional Blackjack player, and enjoy all of the freedom that comes with it.
Instead of many chapters and appendices full of formulas, charts, and tables already written and rewritten by dozens of authors, I will provide you with the simple mathematical explanation of what the technique is, how it works, and how to use it. To use an analogy, I’m not going to teach you how to build a car; I’m going to teach you how to drive. I will show you how to count cards accurately with substantially less effort than that required by other systems. Included will be an attachment of a two-sided 3 X 5 index card I developed that has a summary of all the count-dependent bet and strategy variations that you need to easily implement the system. If you don’t play for a few days or weeks, simply consult the card to refresh your memory of what to do in any situation with any deck count. Once I developed this technique, it took me less than a week to master the system and I began my career as a professional Blackjack player. Also included will be a blank Excel spreadsheet with formulas that I inserted to keep track of your play as well as your edge in complete detail.
What Blackjack Freedom Is Not
Blackjack Freedom is not the first text on Blackjack card counting that you should read, it is the last. In order to fully appreciate its power, you should familiarize yourself with some other systems. If they have the same effect on you that they did on me, you will find yourself demoralized because either their complexity makes them impractical or their simplicity renders them useless.
Blackjack Freedom is not a regurgitation of what has already been written by other authors. There are very solid resources, all available for free on the Internet, that will educate you on the fundamentals of card counting and Basic Strategy. What I ask that you do before you consider purchasing Blackjack Freedom is to visit these four free websites:
The first link is an overview of blackjack card counting on Wikipedia. If you are a novice to the game, you will find it very informative. It will tell you how card counting started back in the 50’s, how it has evolved over the last five decades, and who some of the major players have been.
The second link is to one of my favorite sites, Wizard of odds. It is an even more in depth study of the game and the art/science of card counting. The gentleman who runs the site, Michael Shackleford, is an actuary and Casino Math professor at UNLV. In my opinion, there is no more reliable source for information on analyzing the mathematics of casino games.
The third link will take you to Stanford Wong’s site, bj21, another one of my favorites. Stanford Wong is one of the giants in the world of Blackjack. His book, Professional Blackjack, is widely considered the bible of card counters worldwide. My Blackjack Freedom system uses the Hi-Lo count, which Stanford Wong did not invent, but certainly refined and made more user-friendly. Blackjack Freedom is the next step in the evolution and simplification of Hi-Lo. bj21 also publishes a monthly newsletter known as Current Blackjack News, which details the Blackjack rules and playing conditions for every casino in the U.S. If you are serious about becoming a professional Blackjack player, it is an indispensable trade journal.
The fourth link is to the best Basic Strategy playing card that I have found. It is on a site called blackjackinfo, and you are allowed to modify the number of decks and key rules to obtain the optimal Basic Strategy for where you play. A thorough knowledge and understanding of Basic Strategy is strongly recommended prior to purchasing Blackjack Freedom.
I have no affiliation whatsoever with any of these sites, gambling experts, or their publications. They are simply a font of information to help you make an informed decision as to whether you really want to become a professional Blackjack player. Please read as much of the content on these sites as possible to learn what it takes to be a professional card counter. To some, it is a glamorous and exciting lifestyle; to others it may be a tedious job. Know yourself and what makes you happy before you make the commitment to professional Blackjack.
Blackjack Freedom is not effortless or a “get rich quick” scheme. A thorough knowledge of Basic Strategy is required, and many count-dependent strategy and betting variations must be memorized. To become a highly skilled advantage player, there is simply no way around this. If anyone ever tries to tell you otherwise, beware. The difference with this system is in the effort and brainpower required to keep a perfect count. Superfluous calculations have been eliminated and the degree of difficulty has been minimized without losing any of the edge over the house.
Blackjack Freedom includes a blank Excel playing log with each purchase to assist you in tracking your play. I also recommend a minimum starting bankroll of $5000. This will allow you to start with small bets, become comfortable with the system, and still be able to withstand the potential drawdown resulting from a string of unlucky sessions. It is also a sign of true commitment and that you are truly serious about changing your life.
Blackjack Freedom is not for everyone. It requires you to know yourself and what really makes you happy. If you are content with your job, your income and your life, there is no reason to purchase this system. If you enjoy playing Blackjack recreationally, this system will do you no good because it requires concentration and discipline. Let me reiterate this point: If you enjoy traveling to your local casino or to Las Vegas, sitting at a table, enjoying the free drinks, relaxing and chatting with other players, do not waste your time or money on Blackjack Freedom. There is nothing wrong with having fun playing Blackjack. But for me, the fun isn’t in the playing, it’s in the winning. I enjoy the lifestyle that playing Blackjack professionally affords me. I like playing when I feel like playing. I like having time to work out every day. I enjoy not shaving if I don’t want to. I like not having to wear a suit or tie. And I absolutely love standing in line at the cashier cage to cash in my winnings. Blackjack Freedom will do the same for you, if that’s what you really want. Just be honest with yourself before you invest your hard-earned money. Is it what you really want? Remember—anonymity is crucial to success. If what you really want is to be recognized as a winner and treated like a high roller then you will have a very short career as a card counter. However, if what you truly desire is freedom—freedom from an unfulfilling job, freedom from oppressive debt, or simply to start an exciting and lucrative new career, then purchase the system, immerse yourself in it, and enjoy your new life.
